SHOWCASE 2010...
How can you go wrong with the music of the Beatles? Add in some great free food, some awesome guitar smashing, and plenty of giveaways courtesy of Ibanez, and this years Showcase was another great success. We also raised several hundred dollars in cash and food for the Lawton Food Bank! Thanks to all who participated - parents, teachers, students, and friends! See you next spring!!
SHOWCASE 2009...
Plans were made, extra rehearsals scheduled, and when it came time - a great crowd showed up! The PMEC Student/Teacher showcase was a total success! Even the weather cooperated! We raised over 300 food items for the Lawton Food Bank along with some cash donations - the students that performed did an awesome job - for many it was their first public performance! DVD's are available for the asking - contact either David with your requests. Three guitars were smashed, beaten, and crushed - look for the videos on YouTube (search PMEC guitar smash). Here are a few pictures from the event that we plan to make a regular occurrence...

To help welcome Ovation Guitars back to Lawton, we were fortunate to be able to present one of the premier guitar players and teachers around. Matt Smith is a New York City based recording artist. He's also a singer-songwriter, session musician, teacher, author, and producer. We had a great time at this special event - dubbed the "Chop Shop" - as Matt played and taught several styles on a number of instruments.
